From Family Back Room to Beloved Speakeasy
The back room was originally planned for the family’s engineering business, then transformed into a Japanese cherry blossom adorned private event space for children’s parties. After we secured our liquor license in 2023, the room evolved into 222 Speakeasy—a cozy after-dinner destination with a full bar, karaoke, and a lively, intimate vibe. Today, it’s a go-to restaurant and karaoke lounge on the Upper West Side of New York City for birthdays, anniversaries, corporate mixers, kids’ celebrations, and family gatherings.
