Our Upper West Side Story
For over 20 years, our husband-and-wife team has called the Upper West Side home. We opened Mochi Dolci to give local families a colorful, welcoming spot for mochi donuts and bubble tea—no need to trek downtown for fun, themed places. What began as a neighborhood treat shop quickly grew into something bigger.
From Family Back Room to Beloved Speakeasy
The back room was originally planned for the family’s engineering business, then transformed into a private event space for children’s parties. After we secured our liquor license in 2023, the room evolved into 222 Speakeasy—a cozy after-dinner destination with a full bar, karaoke, and a lively, intimate vibe. Today, it’s a go-to restaurant and karaoke lounge on the UWS for birthdays, anniversaries, corporate mixers, kids’ celebrations, and family gatherings.
